Professing unshakable reliance upon you our God,
and human reliance upon one another,
we, women and men of your creation,
joined in love,
open wide the window of a new time
in which the sun will refresh equally the rich and the poor,
the animals of the sea and the birds of the air,
the plants of the earth and the stones of all ages
--indeed, all creation.
May our trust in your providence and in each other
lead us to act justly, to love tenderly, to walk humbly,
and to live together in peace on this earth. Amen.
