st. patrick's day

here's hoping y'all had a smashing st. patty's day full of good food, great beer, saucy redheads and golden friends. i feasted at my neighbor's who served every tasty irish morsel you can possibly imagine. it just kept coming and i had to fold after the second course. i contributed my green irish soda bread and it was a HUGE hit. this week was spent collecting photos that remind me most of my favorite holiday - images of gold and green and everything in between. did you go all out this SPD?

my soda bread! they liked it! they really liked it!

what could be more perfect than an SPD wedding? slainte!

the perfect hue of amber hair

my st. patrick's outfit - green anthro dress & golden braided belt

an irish blessing i'd love to frame and hang about

what's more irish than ireland itself?

dying over this green dress. it's like peter pan plus glitter!

the ultimate bombshell - red hair and she can SANG

i'd like to find these at the end of the rainbow
(even better that they're in my closet)

this is the week...

of my favorite holiday! i'm all sorts of stirred up over st. patty's day. my condo is decorated. my nails are a tasty shade of green (thanks to butter london's "thames") and i cannot wait for a full week's worth of posts celebrating all that is irish - starting with some monday love. i spoiled myself this afternoon with a maple whiskey cakelet from cupcake royale and am gearing up for a night of menu prep for thursday, blog research (thinking of kicking blogger to the curb and going full blow http://www.nwisbest.com/) and...THE BACHELOR FINALE. yep, i'm hooked. yes, it's cheesy and not normal but...if that emily hasn't stolen my heart! lord almighty. she is a tall glass of north carolina water and i'll be rooting her on with some of my most favorite ladies (:

perfect for a st. patrick's day date eh? dash of green & hint of gold (via modcloth)

cutest SPD dessert...rice krispie treats (dye the mallows green for good measure!) cut into bars and wrap in wax paper and gold foil. perfection. (via twig & thistle)
